World Cup 2022: What to know about the first list of quarterfinal matches


The World Cup is about to enter the home stretch with the quarterfinals scheduled to kick off on Friday and fans can tune in to FOX for all the coverage, starting at 9 am ET.

The first two matches will take place in Lusail and Al Rayyan in Qatar and both are expected to be fantastic matches.

Fans will be able to watch Croatia take on Brazil first and then Argentina will take on the Netherlands in the first quarter-final matchup list.

The Netherlands defeated the USA in the round of 16, 3-1, to reach the quarterfinals, and Argentina defeated Australia, 2-1, in their round of 16 meeting. For Croatia, they were able to edge out Japan on penalties, while Brazil showed why they were the favorites to win the tournament with a 4-1 win against South Korea.

How to watch Brazil vs. Croatia

The quarterfinal match between Croatia and Brazil can be seen on FOX. Coverage begins at 9 am ET and the game begins at 10 am ET. Fans can too tune in here for the action.

How to watch Holland vs. Argentina

The quarterfinal match between the Netherlands and Argentina can be seen on FOX. The match begins at 2 pm ET after the Croatia-Brazil match. Fans can too tune in here for the action.

Who are the Netherlands players to watch?

Cody Gakpo has been a goal-scoring machine for the Dutch and is second in goals behind Frenchman Kylian Mbappe. Goalkeeper Andries Noppert has only allowed two goals in the entire tournament.

Who are the Argentina players to watch?

Lionel Messi is obviously the one the Netherlands have to keep an eye on. He also has three goals in the tournament. Julián Álvarez has also scored two into the back of the net for Argentina.

Who are the Croatian players to watch?

Croatia needed decisive goals to reach the quarterfinals. Andrej Kramaric has two goals to his credit so far in the tournament. Luka Modric is still looking for the first, but don’t fall asleep with him at the decisive moment.

Brazil looked like the favorites in their game against South Korea and will surely try to put on a showcase against Croatia. Just when you think you’ve got Neymar on hold, Richarlison can attack.
