Tom Brady responds to Ryan Fitzpatrick’s criticism: “I’m not sure why he needs to think I’m after him”

Tom Brady responded to two comments former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick made over the past week.

Fitzpatrick said on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” that Brady “fucked him” and that the seven-time Super Bowl champion disrespected him throughout his career. Fitzpatrick also claimed that he was that “mother’s son” that Brady referred to on “The Shop” episode in 2021.

Brady, in the last episode of the Podcast “Let’s go”, he said that he had no ill will towards Fitzpatrick, but he did not understand why he accepted the criticism.

“Let’s talk about Ryan. And I love Ryan, but for some reason he has it with me. I actually talked to Ryan Griffin, who is one of our quarterbacks, he said, ‘Ryan is always all over you. I don’t know why. ‘ So I don’t know why Ryan is,” Brady said.

“Maybe Ryan and I need to have a talk. Ryan’s a great guy too. And I’ve competed against him. I mean, he’s a guy from Harvard. Now it looks like he’s part bum. And now he’s on TV doing what It’s going to be my future job. So I think there’s something good for Ryan. I’m not sure why he needs to think I’m after him or something.”

Brady added that the “mother son” he referred to during “The Shop” episode was not Fitzpatrick.

“I like to keep them guessing. And unfortunately with this, I would have to tell him it wasn’t him,” Brady said.

Fitzpatrick said on an episode of “The Dan Le Batard Show” that he was the guy.

“I think I still am. I think I’m still that guy,” he said. “If you go back to that … before the 2019 season when the Dolphins are trying to put together a roster that will help them get a better draft pick next year, then that’s not an attractive situation for Tom.” in any case. So, I’m not sure why I was so upset about it, but to this day I still believe I’m that f—er mom.”

The Dolphins were a team involved in trying to sign Brady in 2019 and trying to bring him in sometime in 2022, either as a player or as a minority owner.
