For football fans, it’s always fun to watch a great receiver battle a great cornerback. And one of the best matchups in the NFL is between Los Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Both players have talked to each other on and off the pitch in the spirit of the game, but it was Adams who took the lead on his first target of the night with Ramsey pinning everything on him in coverage.
On a third-and-five during the Raiders’ opening drive, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, who was Adams’ college quarterback at Fresno State years ago, used that family connection to throw a deep pass down the right band.

To Ramsey’s credit, he went one step at a time with Adams. But that had never stopped the star receiver before.
With an aggressive hand scramble from Ramsey, Adams located the ball and caught Carr’s one-handed pass with ease as it fell to the grass.

Ramsey was called for defensive pass interference, but there was no need for head coach Josh McDaniels to accept the penalty.
Sacks like these from Adams are nothing new to those who know that track record with the Green Bay Packers and even the Raiders in his first season here in 2022 after his trade.

Adams’ catch went for 32 yards, landing at the Rams 38-yard line, eventually leading to a touchdown on the opening drive scored by running back Josh Jacobs.
