Myles Garrett to return to Browns practice, coach ‘not ruling anyone out’ yet before Falcons game

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was absent from practice Wednesday after being involved in a serious single car accident earlier this week but will return to the team’s training facility on Thursday, head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed.

“[I’m] very, very grateful that you’re okay. I have spoken with him. Today he stays at home resting, but we will see him tomorrow morning. But again, thankful he’s okay,” Stefanski said Wednesday.

Stefanski said the Browns They won’t make any decisions regarding Garett’s availability for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons at this time, but added that like any injury, it’s “case by case” and they’ll be able to have more “in-depth” conversation. with him in the building on Thursday.

The accident happened around 3 p.m., just about two hours after practice ended. He was taken to the hospital, along with an unidentified female passenger.

“First and foremost, we are grateful that Myles, his passenger and no other parties were seriously injured in yesterday’s single-car accident.” the browns said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Following today’s medical evaluation, our team physicians at University Hospitals have concluded that Myles has sustained a sprained shoulder, a biceps strain, minor lacerations, as well as some bumps and bruises to other parts of his body. Myles he did not suffer any fracture and also approved concussion protocol”.

Asked if Garrett would be practicing Thursday, Stefanski said, “We’ll see.” The Browns said in Tuesday’s statement that he will continue to be monitored by team doctors throughout the week.
