Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach had some fun wedding tips from a reporter on Saturday as the Bulldogs beat Texas A&M 42-24.
SEC Network reporter Alyssa Lang asked Leach for her thoughts on weddings, as she is engaged to Pro Football Focus analyst Trevor Sikkema. The college football coach had an interesting idea for Lang and Sikkema.

“Set up a meeting and I’ll talk to him,” Leach said. “We’ll keep a close eye on it, but whatever you and Trevor decide, I’ll keep it a secret, and you didn’t. Trevor was probably planning it, but you didn’t.
“Trevor was probably planning on doing it, but you didn’t. Don’t say anything about it, but as soon as the season is over, or even a week off, run away. Trust me. Go run away, because basically every woman in the family it will terrify you until it is over. Once it is over, you will be upset for a few days, but it will be over, and you will sail away and have a happy marriage and a happy life.”

Leach added that if Sikkema “didn’t have the sense to do that,” then he should call him.
Leach also gave the same advice to backup quarterback Chance Loveritch last month. He was asked about it in his media availability with reporters.

“Just remove all the family input, the aggravation, the constant change of course that goes with wedding planning and the anxiety and pressure that almost drives people to divorce before they even start,” she said at the time.
