Once a cornerstone of the franchise, Griffin’s career has been hit hard by injuries in recent years. From 2019 to 2020, Griffin played in just 38 games while dealing with knee injuries.

While in Brooklyn, Griffin carved out a role off the bench, averaging 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game.

Griffin will add depth to a frontcourt that may be without the signing of free agent Danilo Gallinari for the season and without the services of Robert Williams starting center for 8-12 weeks.
