The United States will reveal thousands of classified documents on the assassination of JFK

The National Archives will soon reveal troves of previously classified documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

President Biden is expected to order the release of 8,000 documents related to the attack, including many from the CIA personality file on Lee Harvey Oswald that he maintained both before and after the JFK assassination, Politico reported Thursday.

The JFK assassination conspiracies have piqued the curiosity, and sometimes obsession, of Americans for decades. However, White House officials have reportedly indicated that nothing in the documents will support the two most popular conspiracies: that Oswald was not the shooter and that the JFK assassination was a government conspiracy.

The release will be the largest since December of last year when the Biden administration published 1,500 documents, most of them related to Oswald.

Last year’s release was disappointing to many interested in the issue, with Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett claiming at the time that the government had much more to release.

“There are some amazing results and information in those documents,” Jarrett said. “But thousands more have yet to be released.”

“The government, to this day, continues to hide thousands of murder records,” he added.

Jarrett went on to state that most Americans do not believe the official story that Oswald operated as a lone gunman in the attack, as found in the 1964 Warren Commission.

The main topic to be covered by the release scheduled for Thursday is Oswald’s 80-volume “personality file,” a document that contains essentially everything the CIA knew about Oswald before and after the attack, according to Politico.

The documents will also reportedly offer insight into the CIA surveillance operation against Oswald in Mexico City just weeks before the assassination.
