Meghan Markle: Palace planted negative stories to cover up the royal family

Your side of the story. Meghan Markle she alleged that the palace used false stories about her to bury negative narratives about other members of the royal family.

“You’d just watch it unfold, like a story about someone in the family pops up for a minute, and they’re like, ‘We’ve got to make that go away,’ but there’s real estate on the home page of a website. Megan, 41, explained in a clip of the second part of his Netflix docuseries with prince harrywhich was published on Wednesday, December 14.

The former actress claimed she was used to taking attention away from the royals, adding: “There’s real estate there on the front page of a newspaper and you have to fill in something about someone royal.”

During the preview, Meghan’s friend lucy fraser he also intervened in the accusations against the palace. “Meg became the scapegoat of the palace,” she claimed. “Then they would feed stories about her, whether true or not, to prevent other less favorable stories from being published.”

In the meantime, Jenny Afia offered his take on the issue after previously representing the California native in her lawsuit against British tabloid The Mail. “There was a kind of royal war against Meghan, and I’ve certainly seen evidence that there was negative reporting from the palace against Harry and Meghan to suit other people’s agendas,” the lawyer said.

Earlier this month, the first part of the Harry & Meghan series focused on the couple’s early days of courtship. In the second episode, which began airing on Thursday, December 8, Harry, 38, recalled his family’s response to how the UK press was covering Meghan.

“The direction from the palace was: don’t say anything. But what people need to understand is that as far as a lot of the family was concerned, whatever she was going through, they had been through too,” she said. “So, it was almost like a rite of passage, and some family members said, ‘My wife had to go through that, so why should she treat herself any differently than her girlfriend? Why should she receive special treatment? Why should she be protected herself? I said, ‘The difference here is the racial element.’

Meghan, for her part, detailed the change she experienced as a black woman after moving abroad.

“It is very different to be a minority but not to be treated as a minority from the beginning,” she explained. “I would say that now people are very aware of my race because they made it an issue when I went to the UK. But before that, most people didn’t treat me as a ‘black woman’. So that talk didn’t happen for me.”
