Season 19 of High school can come to a dramatic end for both Gabby Windey Y Rachel Recchia.
The co-leaders finished the first part of the finale with one suitor remaining for each of them. While Rachel waits for a proposal from frank tino during the second part, which airs on Tuesday, September 20, Gabby thinks Erich Schwer he is the one for her. The second part will start during an emotional fight between the couple over a commitment.
“I don’t want to force him to make his decision,” Gabby said during the first part after Erich suggested they just date instead of getting engaged. “I want to be with Erich forever, so I want him to propose to me. What am I supposed to do? Ditch me because he’s not ready to propose to you?
The ICU nurse had Erich in her sights since the beginning of the season and gave him an individual appointment during week three. His relationship continued to blossom when he met his family, including his father, who had terminal cancer. (Erich’s father, Allan Schwer, died in July, months after his hometown date was filmed.)
During date nights, Erich and Gabby hit a snag as he wrestled with the idea of her spending the night with him. jason alabaster me johnny dephillipo. As he briefly spun onscreen before Gabby sent her other two finalists home, things got even worse for Erich off-camera.
On September 8, a high school yearbook photo of the New Jersey native in blackface resurfaced. He apologized via Instagram, writing in part: “What I thought at the time was a representation of my love for Jimi Hendrix, it was nothing more than ignorance. I was naive to the harmful implications of my actions for the Black community and those closest to me, and I will always regret my offensive and harmful behavior.”
Days later, a woman named Amanda Kaylor claimed that she was seeing Erich before he left to film High school. She shared screenshots of her alleged text messages after he informed her of her decision on March 10, claiming that Erich wanted her to remain open to the idea of dating when he returned.
“You were just hoping he would keep dating you while you go on a reality show to ‘find love,’” Amanda texted her.
Erich allegedly replied: “It’s not real, but you’re right. Sorry, I really didn’t think of all this. … I didn’t realize the implications. Sorry, I thought we might be on the same page on this. I really didn’t mean for this to hurt you.
In another message, he allegedly explained that he signed up for the ABC show because he was “miserable” and felt “stuck in my career” as a real estate analyst.
Before heading to Los Angeles to film the show, Reality Steve reports that Erich sent Amanda flowers with a note that read, “I’ll never stop thinking about you.”
